When thinking about our focus upon inclusion this year and turning to the topic of questioning, I remembered an AfL strategy from @teachertoolkit from some time ago – Pose, Pause, Pounce, Bounce.

While initially similar to the hands-down questioning approach, PPPB has the advantage of sufficient take-up time for all learners in the Pause phase, and the Bounce phase really gets students thinking about the question, the answer and also forming higher order questions of their own.

A classic!
